Baseline Study on Microplastics in Indian Rivers under Different Anthropogenic Influences
نویسندگان
چکیده
Microplastic particles are found in environmental compartments all over the world and receive a great deal of attention, especially aquatic environment. Currently, particularly high input microplastics via Asian rivers is assumed, but so far, there hardly any data through field measurements. Three South India were considered for this purpose to focus on their microplastic load. The emphasis was comparison concentrations urban rural rivers. While two megacity Chennai (Tamil Nadu) have an average concentration 0.4 particles/L, river near Munnar (Kerala) had 0.2 particles/L. Rough estimates annual discharge from Adyar River (Chennai) into Bay Bengal be as 11.6 trillion particles. This study should one first baseline studies loads Indian streams complemented with further sampling before, during after monsoon season get more detailed information storage transportation fluvial under different weather conditions.

Multi-Drug Resistance in Indian Rivers: Review
Now a day, riverine system is becoming under pressure due to antibodies interference which highly affect the fauna and flora biodiversity, and economic activities. These antibodies have significantly increased the antibodies resistant microbes present in the aquatic environment which act as reservoirs including rivers, sewage, ocean water and drinking water. Bacterial resistance is the superb e...
متن کاملPeriphyton density influences organochlorine accumulation in rivers
To investigate the influence of eutrophication on organochlorine dynamics in lotic systems, we related polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) concentrations in brown trout (Salmo trutta) to the periphyton density and total phosphorus concentrations (Tot-P) in 10 Swedish rivers. Tot-P concentrations in the water ranged from 37 6 4 to 156 6 51 mg L21. Periphyton density in the rivers during the experimen...
متن کاملAnthropogenic influences on groundwater arsenic concentrations in Bangladesh
The origin of dissolved arsenic in the Ganges Delta has puzzled researchers ever since the report of widespread arsenic poisoning two decades ago. Today, microbially mediated oxidation of organic carbon is thought to drive the geochemical transformations that release arsenic from sediments, but the source of the organic carbon that fuels these processes remains controversial. At a typical site ...
متن کاملSubstitution Patterns Are Under Different Influences in Primates and Rodents
There are large-scale variations of the GC-content along mammalian chromosomes that have been called isochore structures. Primates and rodents have different isochore structures, which suggests that these lineages exhibit different modes of GC-content evolution. It has been shown that, in the human lineage, GC-biased gene conversion (gBGC), a neutral process associated with meiotic recombinatio...
متن کاملAnthropogenic Influences on Conservation Values of White Rhinoceros
White rhinoceros (rhinos) is a keystone conservation species and also provides revenue for protection agencies. Restoring or mimicking the outcomes of impeded ecological processes allows reconciliation of biodiversity and financial objectives. We evaluate the consequences of white rhino management removal, and in recent times, poaching, on population persistence, regional conservation outcomes ...
